Almost Home Album Story

God tells us when we love Him we will obey. Writing this album with Him was a huge step in that direction for me. This album was a deep dive into His heart and all the ways He expresses His love to His children.

When He first put it on my heart to search the scripture for His gifts I was able to spot them easily; for His children we can list them off without hesitation. Forgiveness, Mercy, Grace, Peace, Rest, Faithful Love are just some of them that I based the songs on this album on. 

Then He had a different message for me. This time when I read about them He wanted me to see His gifts from His perspective by looking through the words in His book to see His outlook. With that message He was able to unfold the meanings for me in a whole new way. Opening my mind and heart like never before. He silenced the condemnation the enemy used to attack me with. These attacks kept me separated from Him for days, sometimes weeks. 

The song that captivates my heart in a way like no other on this album is All Along. When He sang the chorus to my heart He melted away every reason I ever had not to hand it over to Him every single day.

More than I want burnt offerings

To know who I am

And to seek my truth

Not offering sacrifices to prove

Instead bring me your heart

And see what I do”

My prayer for you is that you close your eyes, listen to this album and let His perspective tear open your heart. I pray you will fall in love, or more in love, with Him when you understand how He truly sees you.
