Strings of Faith Album Story

This album was released on the 10th Anniversary of the day Jesus woke me up to who he was and invited me to walk with him. 

As I reflect on my walk with him I realize it wasn't a walk at all. It was more like this...

Jesus: "Merissa, come follow me."

Me: "Absolutely Jesus! I'm coming!"

Jesus: (about 10,000 more times) "Merissa, come follow me."

Me: (ten years later) "I'm Here!!"

During that ten year period, I followed, I walked backwards, I gave up, I rose up, I closed the book, I opened the book, I danced, I cried, I fell face down and I sat at His feet.

When I started writing music about my experiences I had no idea the response I would get from people who said as they listened to the songs they just cried.

It wasn't until I got these messages did I realize that THIS IS THE WALK! I wasn't doing it wrong this whole time. He was bringing me closer and closer with each experience. He was delivering me over and over into His arms. The truth is with all its messy twists and turns He loved me through it all. He loves you too, more than any one of us can even imagine. With a love that no one else can deliver but Him. He shares our thoughts, our emotions, our past memories, our wonders of the future with every fiber of our being. He loves every part of us with an understanding that surpasses all words. 

Recently I read James 1:2-4

2 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

And what stood out to me most was "So let it grow"

That's all we have to do, let it grow! Don't stop what he is trying to do for us. Just let the faith grow.
